Einflussfaktoren für Burnout und Depression und schützende Einflussfaktoren

Ursachen

Eine Stu­die der BAuA (Bun­des­an­stalt für Arbeits­schutz und Arbeits­me­di­zin) unter­such­te den Ein­fluss psy­cho­so­zia­ler Fak­to­ren des Arbeits­plat­zes bezüg­lich depres­si­ver Sym­pto­ma­tik, Burn­out und Arbeits­fä­hig­keit. Es wur­den 4058 Beschäf­tig­te im Alter von 31 bis 60 Jah­ren befragt. Die Stu­die zur prä­zi­se­ren Ein­schät­zung der Burn­out Gefähr­dung ergab:

  • Haupt­ri­si­ko­fak­tor für Burn­out und Depres­si­on ist die quan­ti­ta­ti­ve Arbeitsbelastung.
  • Zweit­wich­tigs­ter Fak­tor ist die kogni­ti­ve Belas­tung (Über­for­de­rung durch Wis­sens­er­werb und Infor­ma­ti­on Over­load) und Arbeits­platz­un­si­cher­heit.
  • Wei­te­re Fak­to­ren sind: 
    • hohe qua­li­ta­ti­ve Anforderungen
    • man­geln­de Rollenklarheit
    • und gerin­ge eige­ne Ein­fluss­mög­lich­kei­ten bzw. Entscheidungsspielräume.

Als schüt­zend erwie­sen sich:

Die Sys­te­mi­sche Bera­tung kann hier den Blick­win­kel und den wahr­ge­nom­me­nen Hand­lungs­spiel­raum erwei­tern, und die Selbst­für­sor­ge för­dern. Die Selbst­wirk­sam­keit wird unter­stützt und eige­ne Res­sour­cen erforscht und gestärkt.

Risikobewertung

Wer sich selbst und sei­ne poten­zi­el­le Gefähr­dung für Burn­out ein­mal tes­ten möch­te, fin­det hier einen Burn­out Selbst­test.

Fazit

Prä­ven­ti­on ist bes­ser als zu war­ten, bis es so weit kommt. Und güns­ti­ger!
Das ist auch für Unter­neh­men von Bedeu­tung, denn die Kos­ten, die durch Mit­ar­bei­ter­aus­fäl­le ent­ste­hen, sind enorm. Enorm ist auch das Leid, das bei Betrof­fe­nen ent­steht. Der Weg aus dem Burn­out wie­der her­aus zu kom­men kann lang und antstren­gend sein. Und die Rück­kehr zum Arbeits­platz fällt vie­len schwer, weil die Dia­gno­se häu­fig als eine Art Stig­ma emp­fun­den wird. Recht­zei­tig ein­zu­schrei­ten und sich hel­fen zu las­sen, solan­ge die Sym­pto­ma­tik sich noch nicht ver­fes­tigt hat, ist also abso­lut sinnvoll.
